Mill & Main

Mill & Main is a standout in downtown Kerhonkson and a short drive from most of our homes. It is a family-run, farm-to-table restaurant with an eclectic Colombian and Italian menu built from family recipes and local Hudson Valley producers. There is also a provisions store and coffee shop on site, so it works for a morning stop as much as a full dinner. You can eat indoors or out on the patio overlooking the Rondout Creek.

The food leans creative and shareable. Guests rave about the Colombian queso pretzels and the yucca fries to start, along with a mezze board, beet carpaccio, and panzanella salad for the table. For mains, the fried chicken with Calabrian honey and grits is a signature, and the fish specials come up again and again. There are strong vegan options too, and the daily specials are worth asking about, since regulars say that is where the kitchen really shows off. The bar keeps house-made cocktails, local beers, small-batch spirits, and natural wines, with a daily happy hour.

A few details worth knowing before you go: hours shift by season, but it is generally closed early in the week, with brunch on weekends and dinner Thursday through Sunday.
