Our Story
Our adventure begins with the spectacular Shawangunks Ridge, also known as the Gunks. We first visited while living in New York City, returned many times, and eventually made it our home. We loved the region, its pace of life, and the inspiration it gave us—so we set out to share its beauty with guests. That’s how Dream House was born.
We share our real experiences here: the places we go, the values we hold dear, and the art we love. Many of our homes feature one-of-a-kind works by friends and local artists. Each house includes a small lending selection we call “meaningful libraries” filled with books that have inspired us to be better, happier people. We hope they do the same for you. Our mission is to give you an experience you’ll never forget.

The Gunks: Our Home
The real star here is the Shawangunks Ridge, with sweeping views of the Catskills. Outdoor lovers from around the world come to hike, climb, birdwatch, cross-country ski, and more. You’ll also find charming towns, antiques, and fresh local produce at roadside farm stands. We’re sure once you see the area and meet the community, you’ll want to come back again and again.

Serg was an excellent communicator, reaching out in advance and providing clear check in instructions and tips on locating the cabin. The cabin was in a great location with access to hiking and other regional draws. We appreciated the decor and plentiful coffee. Would’ve loved to stay longer.
I frequent Airbnb and I must say this is one of THE BEST accommodations I’ve ever stayed in! The communication from the host is above and beyond! Every need or question is anticipated and answered before you could even think to ask! The place is spotless and cute! The location is perfect and so close to trails. Full kitchen. Washer dryer. Quick response to any inquiries. Check in and out was super easy and all other questions were well answered in the accommodation guide as well as the guide on sights and food to try. Warm and cosy home with a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need.

A wonderful spot to spend a few days in the Catskills!! Serg was quick to respond and the place was lovely.
This place is amazing! The only downside is that the other two rental properties by Serg are right next to this studio so it’s not as private as we were hoping. Inside the studio is fantastic and there were tons of nice extras and thoughtful touches. And the bed is cozy. Aaron and the cleaner who works with Serg are very kind as well.
This is my second stay at this space and it was even more enjoyable. Very welcoming, comfortable and spacious. Apartment is stocked with anything you might need. Host and his helper are super approachable and really responsive throughout my stay. Would be happy to stay a third time in the future.
The house is so big it’s easy to get lost. Serg’s place was really clean and had everything we needed! My family and I enjoyed our stay!
